The environmentally sustainable practices that are part of the activities that take place at UMinho are the commitment uphold by the university to minimize the environmental impacts and improve the well-being of the academic community.
Thus, the implementation of procedures that improve the environmental performance is favoured, namely the management of the waste produce at UMinho.
The quality of the indoor air in UMinho’s facilities has also been a pressing concern. Therefore, the indoor air quality is periodically monitored by accredited contractors in order to ensure a healthy environment for all occupants of the university’s spaces.
In an attempt to value and preserve its arboreal heritage, UMinho has made significant conservation efforts and improvement of the university’s green spaces.
